Join the Ice Rebels

Future University of Mississippi students interested in playing for the Ice Rebels should contact the Head of Recruitment: Colin Knight. Please read the following, fill out the player profile form listed below and email it to: cjknight@olemiss.edu.

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY

The ACHA administers specific eligibility rules to which each player must adhere in order to maintain their active status on the Mississippi Hockey Team. The basic academic rule states that each player must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, be a full-time undergraduate (12 credit hours) or graduate (9 credit hours) student and pass a minimum of nine (9) credits each semester. It is also required that each player complete 24 units from the previous school year to be eligible to play in the fall of the following year.

ANNUAL DUES

Mississippi Hockey is a pay-to-play (fee) club sport. The University of Mississippi Athletic Department does not financially support the team. The Ice Rebels have several sources of revenue, including sponsors, fundraisers, clothing sales and gate receipts. At this point, it is not enough to offset the team's expenses that include, but are not limited to, equipment, travel and ice time.
